We had a bit of fun training in the park this morning… the sprinklers were still running at our usual start time, so we decided to go ahead in spite of the extra watering we would receive.
Meditating when the spray comes around was an interesting experience. The first spray to hit me was on the back of the legs, and I was able to stay in the zone pretty well with that distraction. The second was front and centre – much harder to maintain the Zen!
After hundreds of star-jumps in the spray, we moved to the dry grass steps above the main green to do the floor work and stretching. By the time that was done, so were the sprinklers.
We had a strong workout with drills and kata this morning. The sky was a bit overcast and the cool, humid air was invigorating. Getting our sweat on and an hour of training done before 7:30 am is a great way to start the day.
